Meet Dr. Judith Foyabo, a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who serves as the owner and CEO of Ultra Healthcare Nursing Solutions, Inc., founded in March 2020. While leading her virtual urgent care practice with the motto "Urgent Care for a Healthier Tomorrow," Dr. Foyabo is dedicated to delivering prompt, superior, and preventive healthcare that exceeds expectations. 1. What inspired you to start Ultra Healthcare (and Luxurious Lifestyle Lessons)?
Access to affordable healthcare is a major challenge for many people in our society. Through Ultra Healthcare, I'm able to provide affordable Telehealth services to those in need. With expertise in both health and wealth building, I've seen firsthand how financial challenges can impact physical and mental well-being. This insight drove me to start Luxurious Lifestyle Lessons which is my platform for sharing financial tips, tools, and strategies that help people live their best lives – blending health and wealth into a holistic approach to foster overall well-being and prosperity.
2. Can you share a memorable experience from your time at Ultra Healthcare that had a positive impact on you or a client that you served?
I work with a lot of weight loss patients. Weight loss can pose a major challenge medically, mentally and psychologically for some patients. I once recommended non-surgical weight loss treatment for a young adult who weighed over 400 lbs. According to the young adult's parents, that approach helped their child regain their self-esteem. That was quite heartening.
3. What are some of the biggest challenges you've faced in your industry, and how did you overcome them?
In healthcare, affordability is a major challenge for most people. I think it's safe to say that wealth impacts quality of care and vice versa. Those that have the financial means can afford to pay for the best healthcare possible but many in our society don't have the means. My goal is to provide healthcare and "wealthcare" to my patients whenever possible to improve their overall wellbeing.
4. Can you tell us about your project on Skid Row that improved health clinic attendance among homeless patients?
For my doctorate in nursing practice degree, I worked on a project on how to improve clinic attendance for the homeless on skid row. The primary goal of the project was to set up a system so homeless patients can have consistent access to phone charging stations to avoid missing medical appointments - missed medical follow ups often result in aggravated medical conditions, and more so for the homeless.
5. I understand you received recognition from the Mayor of Los Angeles, correct?
Yes, I had reached out to the mayor’s office while working on the project for the homeless. Even though that project has yet to be completed, some homeless shelters now have phone charging stations.
6. What's next for Ultra Healthcare (and Luxurious Lifestyle Lessons)?
As for the brand Luxurious Lifestyle Lessons, it is a concept and mindset shift that I hope will continue to mainstream financial tips, tools and strategies alongside the health services of Ultra Healthcare, especially to highlight the link between healthcare and "wealthcare."
7. What is your favorite place to visit in Los Angeles?
My favorite go-to place is a luxury spa, like Burke Williams. I go to a spa to relax, get some quiet time, and to recharge.
