1. Hike Elysian Park


🔍 Elysian Park is one of Los Angeles's oldest and largest parks, with cozy picnic areas, panoramic views of the city, and scenic hiking trails that are suitable no matter what your fitness level may be. April is one of the best times to check out Elysian Park's hiking paths as the weather isn't too hot yet (but still bring your water bottle!); you'll be able to avoid crowds and catch some gorgeous Instagram-worthy photo's of the sunlight pouring over Dodger Stadium and the Downtown Los Angeles skyline.

2. Renaissance Pleasure Faire


🔍 From April 5th to May 18th (Saturdays and Sundays from 10AM-7PM) the Renaissance Pleasure Faire is running its immersive 16th-century English village festival full of costumed performers, jousting knights, artisan crafts, live music, parades, interactive shows, and various concession stands ranging from German to British to Asian to classic American. Guests are welcome to dress up in their own costumes to further enhance their experience, although there is a shop located just inside the front gates of the Faire where you can rent costumes.

3. Lunch @ Paradise Cove


🔍 The Paradise Cove Beach Café sits on the stunning Paradise Beach in Malibu, Los Angeles. Guests there can sit down and enjoy a delicious lunch on the beach with indoor and outdoor dining options while indulging in their expansive menu, from family-style favorites such as the Malibu Lobster-Clam Bake, or individual plates from burgers and tacos to sandwiches, salads, and more. Paradise Cove is an incredible private beach where you can lay out on the warm sand or take in the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

4. Free Museum Days


🔍 Throughout the year, many museums in Los Angeles County have free museum days where guests can enjoy the artwork, exhibitions, and gardens completely for free. The Descanso Gardens, a gorgeous botanical garden and museum, has free admission the third Tuesday of every month (April 15) with many other museums following suit. This month you can visit to see the rare cherry blossom bloom.

5. Rain - A Tribute To The Beatles


🔍 RAIN is a musical group that has flawlessly mastered the songs, gestures, and overall performance of the iconic Beatles. Now, Beatles fans can experience the magic with their live show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on April 29th. From the early Beatles hits to classics such as "Let It Be" and "Hey Jude", guests of all ages will be enter a world where the Beatles never really left.

6. Puppet Festival


🔍 The Skirball Cultural Center will transform into the Puppet Festival on Sunday, April 27th from 12PM to 5PM, where puppets of all shapes and sizes will walk around, dance, and bring joy to audiences of all ages by some of Southern California's famous puppetry acts. Visitors will also have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes crash-course in puppetry from the Rogue Artists Ensemble, buy their own puppets at Audrey's Museum Store, and take photo's with giant dragons and other puppets roaming around throughout the day.

7. Dodgers Baseball Game


🔍 With 12 home games this April, tourists and locals alike can relish in the good vibes of a Los Angeles Dodgers Game at the beautiful Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles (who also happen to be the returning 2024 MLB Champions)! 8. Pizza City Fest


🔍 On April 26th and 27th, 40 of Southern California's top pizzerias will take over L.A. LIVE's Event Deck and transform the venue into what is known as Pizza City Fest 2025, a two-day extravaganza full of unlimited slices of a variety of pizza styles, from classic Margarita to Chicago Deep-Dish. Aside from the endless pizza included in your ticket purchase, there will also be live dough-making demonstrations and panel discussions with pizza-shop owners and pizza-making professionals.

9. Grand Park's Easy Mornings


🔍 Free family fun just got a lot more exciting this April with Gloria Molina Grand Park's Easy Mornings on April 5th and April 19th. Add this to your things to do this April in LA, when the park will be teaming up with Smorgasburg LA to offer families entertaining activities such as puppetry, storytelling, arts and crafts, and delicious food. Visitors can expect to see live DJ entertainment, family yoga, and puppet-shows from the Bob Baker Marionette Theater to keep the little ones entertained.

10.  Acura Grand Prix


🔍 This year, in 2025, marks The 50th Anniversary of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. From April 11th to 13th, at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, car lovers can sit back and enjoy some world class racing, historic car exhibitions, live concerts, a wide selection of food and beverage trucks, and even a family-fun zone with a rock-climbing wall, video games, and live music (including legendary rock group Foreigner).
